D’Andre Swift scored three rushing touchdowns and Caleb Williams threw for 247 yards as Chicago beat Seattle 34–17 at Lumen Field on Monday night.
The Bears finished Week 8 with a convincing road win, improving to 6–2 and extending their winning streak to three games. Seattle fell to 4–4 after struggling to sustain its offence against Chicago’s defence.
Chicago control the first half
Chicago opened the scoring with a touchdown pass from Caleb Williams to Luther Burden III. Cairo Santos added two field goals, and the Bears went into half-time leading 13–9. Seattle stayed within reach after Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught a 43-yard touchdown pass from Sam Darnold just before the interval.
Swift takes over in the second half
D’Andre Swift scored from one yard in the third quarter to extend Chicago’s advantage. Seattle responded in the fourth when Cooper Kupp caught a seven-yard touchdown pass and the Seahawks converted the two-point attempt to make it 20–17.
The Bears answered immediately. Swift scored twice more on five-yard runs, turning a narrow lead into a 34–17 final margin. Chicago’s defence also helped limit Seattle’s opportunities and closed out the game after the hosts had briefly threatened a comeback.
Caleb Williams delivers a clean performance
Williams completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and one touchdown without throwing an interception. He avoided costly mistakes and helped Chicago sustain drives. Swift provided the decisive finish in the red zone with three rushing scores.
What the result means
Chicago moved to 6–2 with its third consecutive victory. Seattle dropped to 4–4 and will look to respond after losing at home. The result also gives the Bears momentum heading into the next part of the schedule, while the Seahawks will need to improve their offensive consistency.
Chicago’s balance between efficient quarterback play, a productive rushing attack and timely defensive stops proved too much for Seattle.
