Manchester United striker Anthony Martial’s advisor, Philippe Lamboley, has refuted allegations that Martial will be “too financially greedy” when selecting his next club.
In recent weeks, rumors have circulated suggesting that Martial’s future decisions will be heavily influenced by financial considerations. However, Lamboley has firmly denied these claims. Speaking to various media outlets, Lamboley clarified that Martial’s primary focus remains on his professional career and ensuring he is in the best position to perform at his highest level.
Despite an injury-plagued season, Martial remains committed to Manchester United until the end of his current contract, which expires in June 2024. Lamboley emphasized that Martial has no issues with the club’s management or coaching staff, dispelling any notions of internal conflicts or disciplinary actions against the player. He also mentioned that Martial will undergo a minor surgery to address a lingering adductor issue, which has affected his performance this season.
As the summer transfer window approaches, several clubs have expressed interest in the French international, including Newcastle United and Inter Milan. However, any potential move will be evaluated based on professional merits rather than financial incentives.
For now, Martial is focused on recovering from his injury and contributing to Manchester United as they navigate the remainder of the season.
