Deloitte Report Reveals Spanish Clubs’ Double-Digit Revenue Growth in 26th Edition.
Deloitte has released the Football Money League 2023, a report on club revenue in football. The analysis includes aspects such as commercial revenue and fan attendance.
Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are ranked second and seventh, respectively, with both clubs experiencing significant growth in revenue compared to previous years. All Spanish clubs included in the report saw an increase in income.
Real Madrid had 11% revenue growth and FC Barcelona had 10% growth compared to the previous year. Real Madrid has been among the top three clubs for the fifth consecutive year.
The combined revenues of Real Madrid and FC Barcelona make up 21% of the €6,300m generated by the top 10 clubs in the study. Atlético de Madrid is also notable, ranked 12th with 18% revenue growth and on par with Juventus and close to the top 10.
The three Spanish clubs in the top 20 of the Football Money League make up 19% of the €9.2 billion generated by the most valuable clubs in the world. The ranking by Deloitte includes 30 clubs, with Sevilla FC in 28th place with 186 million euros in revenue and Villarreal FC in 29th with 179 million euros in revenue.
