Injury designations can change throughout a practice week, and “questionable” is not the same as “out.” Use the final inactive list close to kickoff to confirm whether a player is available for a particular game. This hub links to official injury reporting and Sportimatic’s published player-status coverage.

Recent Sportimatic injury and inactive coverage
- NFL Week 7 Inactives: Lamar Jackson Out, Zach Charbonnet Sidelined as Josh Jacobs Returns — a completed-week report; use it as an archive, not a current Week 8 status list.

How to read an NFL injury designation
- Did not participate / limited / full participation: describes the player’s reported participation in practice. It is not, by itself, the final game decision.
- Questionable: signals uncertainty about availability; it does not mean the player has been ruled out.
- Out: the player is not expected to play in that game.
- Inactive: the player has been declared unavailable for that specific game.
Practice reports, final game-status designations and inactive lists serve different purposes. Always check the date, opponent and game in the report; old injury news should not be treated as current roster status.
Editorial standards
Sportimatic injury stories are written as dated updates and should identify the relevant matchup and status. When a new report supersedes an older one, use the newest article or the official NFL report rather than relying on an archived designation.
