Dallas found its ground game at the right time. Javonte Williams rushed for 155 yards, and Dak Prescott threw three touchdowns as the Cowboys beat the Eagles 38–21.
The Dallas Cowboys delivered a balanced offensive performance to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38–21 on Monday night, October 26. Williams posted a career-high 155 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Prescott passed for 212 yards and three scores without an interception.
Javonte Williams powers the Cowboys run game
Williams carried 25 times for 155 yards, averaging 6.2 yards per attempt. His late two-yard touchdown helped seal the result, capping a performance that gave Dallas the reliable ground attack it had been missing earlier in the season.
The Cowboys finished with 204 rushing yards on 38 carries and gained 416 yards overall. The run game kept the offense on schedule, helped control the tempo and gave Prescott more manageable passing situations.
Dak Prescott delivers three touchdown passes
Prescott completed 15 of 27 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns, with no interceptions. He connected twice with CeeDee Lamb, who finished with five catches for 74 yards, and once with George Pickens, who added four receptions for 57 yards.
Dallas also avoided turnovers and scored on seven of its nine possessions, an efficient response after a difficult two-game stretch.
Philadelphia briefly takes the lead
The Eagles made a push early in the third quarter. Tanner McKee connected with rookie receiver Makai Lemon for a touchdown that put Philadelphia ahead 21–20. Dallas answered immediately, with Prescott finding Lamb for another score before converting a two-point attempt to move the Cowboys back in front, 28–21.
Dallas added two Brandon Aubrey field goals in the fourth quarter, then Williams ran in a late touchdown to complete the 38–21 win. McKee finished with 211 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. Philadelphia’s offense had moments of progress, but the defense struggled to contain Dallas’ rushing attack.
What the result means for Dallas
The win moved Dallas to 3–4 and ended its two-game losing streak. The performance offered a clear template for the weeks ahead: stay committed to the run, use play-action and let Prescott attack with a balanced offense. Williams’ workload and the line’s improvement were central to the turnaround.
What’s next for the Eagles?
Philadelphia fell to 2–5 and has now lost five games in a row. The Eagles will need better defensive consistency, especially against the run, while continuing to adjust on offense with backup quarterback Tanner McKee starting in place of the injured Jalen Hurts.
