Kansas City Chiefs · Wide Receiver Stats

Xavier Worthy is now an NFL wide receiver with the Kansas City Chiefs. The former Texas Longhorn was selected 28th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. His professional statistics are different from his college stats, so this updated guide separates his NFL seasons and clearly labels the in-progress 2026 totals.

Correction to the previous version: Worthy was no longer playing college football in the 2024 season. The 2024 figures below are his NFL rookie-season statistics with Kansas City, not Texas Longhorns college stats. The previous article mixed college and professional seasons and included an inaccurate 2024 college table; that table has been removed.

Worthy has also been used on selected designed runs. Those attempts are a smaller part of his role than receiving, but they add another way for Kansas City to use his speed and make a defense account for him before the snap.

What the numbers suggest

His rookie season produced the highest receiving-touchdown total so far. Worthy caught 59 passes for 638 yards and six touchdowns in 2024. His 2025 line was 42 catches for 532 yards and one touchdown in 14 games. Early 2026 totals are smaller because the season is still underway and should not be compared with completed seasons as though the sample were equal.

Use both volume and efficiency. Receptions and yards show total production; yards per catch gives context about average gain. Neither metric alone explains a player’s role, because routes, targets, defensive attention, quarterback play and health also affect performance.

Verify the season before quoting a stat. College statistics, NFL regular-season statistics and postseason statistics are different groups. A stat page should label which competition and season it covers to avoid mixing totals.

College background and NFL draft

Worthy played college football for the Texas Longhorns and entered the NFL Draft after the 2023 college season. The Kansas City Chiefs selected him with the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. That distinction matters: the 2024 numbers in the receiving table above are his first NFL season, rather than another season at Texas.
