Daniel Jones took every snap that mattered.
Anthony Richardson stayed on the bench.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce finished the night. Harrison Butker ended it. Kansas City 33, Indianapolis 30 in overtime at Arrowhead.
What Jones did
He went 22-of-31 for 210 yards, one touchdown, one interception. Tyler Warren caught the first score from a yard out. Jonathan Taylor ran for 92 yards and two touchdowns, including the 5-yard run that tied it at 27 in the fourth.
Indianapolis is 0–2. The room is still Jones, then Richardson, then Leonard. That is already on the living page: Colts quarterback depth chart 2026.
Week 1 he watched Baltimore win 41–23. Week 2 he watched Butker win it. Same job title.
What Mahomes and Kelce did
Mahomes was 32-of-47 for 382 yards and three touchdowns. No picks. Kelce caught nine for 101 and a 13-yard score. Xavier Worthy and Jalen Royals also scored through the air.
Kenneth Walker ran 24 times for 117. He also caught six for 61. Kansas City piled up 534 yards. Indianapolis had 329.
This is the quarterback Kelce came back for. The exam last Monday was Denver. This one was a one-score night that went to overtime. He passed it. Recap of the first test: Chiefs 31, Broncos 10.
How overtime ended
Butker made a 31-yarder for 30–27. Jones answered. Indianapolis tied it. Kansas City got the ball back. Walker moved them into range. Butker hit from 40 as time expired.
There was a fumble fight in between. Officials kept the Colts alive once. They did not keep them alive twice.
Chiefs 2–0. Colts 0–2. Monday Night is still open: Giants at Rams.
