Marcus Mariota did not finish.

Jonathan Taylor scored twice. Daniel Jones ran one in. Indianapolis left London 30–13.

The starter who was already out never came in. The starter who was supposed to replace him left. The room in Indianapolis did not move.

How Indianapolis won it

The Colts had 20 yards in the first quarter. Drew Stevens made it 6–0. Then Taylor. Five yards. Spencer Shrader from 48 at the half. 10–6.

Taylor again from five in the third. Shrader from 52. Jones ran it in from the 4 with 11:38 left. Shrader closed it from 44. Final: 30–13.

Jones was 19-of-34 for 143 yards and an interception. He also lost the ball early and still finished the game. Taylor: 20 carries, 95 yards, two scores. Colts 2–2.

What happened to Washington

Jayden Daniels was already out. Elbow. Marcus Mariota started and left after a sack. Seventh-round rookie Athan Kaliakmanis came in. He threw a 47-yard touchdown to Treylon Burks. First of his career. It made the score 17–13. It did not make it a game.

Commanders 1–3. Ten penalties. The quarterback who was supposed to hold the week did not hold the morning.
