What the last two weeks showed
Week 4, London. Colts 30, Commanders 13. Jones finished. Taylor scored twice. Richardson did not enter. Recap: Colts 30, Commanders 13.
Week 5. Steelers 34, Colts 22. Jones went 24-of-44 for 266 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions. Taylor was held to 45 rushing yards. Richardson did not appear.
Jones has finished every game. The backup has not been used.
What to watch
Three things
- Whether Jones takes the first snap and finishes.
- Whether Richardson enters at any point.
- Whether the Colts get off 2–3 against a 0–5 team at home.
What it means
This is not a parade for Richardson. After five games it is not a burial either.
Indianapolis has a starter who has played every snap and a backup who has not. Sunday is the next test of that order.
Jones first. Richardson next. Until the desk changes those two lines.
Desk note. Depth chart from Steichen’s Sept. 3 announcement and the Week 1–5 boxes. Kickoff and TV checked against the official Week 6 schedule. Score and snaps will be added here after the final.
